Waterloo Arts Closed through April 15 Due to COVID-19

In response to the serious health crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic, Waterloo Arts is suspending all programming until at least April 15 in order to help mitigate the spread of the virus. Specifically, this means the gallery will be closed and our annual DayGlo exhibit, previously scheduled to open on April 3, will be postponed, and the pilot of our Round Robin after school program will be rescheduled. We are also closing the building to any other public programming or events scheduled during this time-period. Please refer to Playwrights Local‘s website for updates regarding their programming playwrightslocal.org. Waterloo Arts is proceeding with the jurying process for the Waterloo Arts Juried Exhibition.  For information about submission timeline go to the current call page at WAJE 2020

We have taken this measure due to the gravity of the situation and we extend our sympathy to the artists who worked hard in preparation for these events. We have a responsibility to do our part in keeping the public safe and if we all pull together, hopefully we will be able to return to normal operations soon. I will send another update when I have information regarding rescheduling and any further cancellations.

I encourage you to visit the Ohio Department of Health’s COVID-19 information page for facts, appropriate precautions, and any updates on the unfolding situation. Be safe, be well.

Sincerely,
Amy Callahan
Executive Director
